Find Out Exactly Where Your ServiceNow Platform Stands
What Our Assessment Covers
A Virtuxient platform assessment is not a superficial report. Our certified architects spend time inside your instance – examining configuration decisions, data quality, integration architecture, security settings, and upgrade readiness – before drawing any conclusions.
We assess six areas across every engagement:
Technical Health
Script execution performance, database table sizes, customization inventory, upgrade compatibility flags, deprecated API usage.
Unscoped customizations blocking upgrades. Business rules firing on every record save. Tables with millions of stale records degrading query performance.
Security & Access Control
ACL configuration, role proliferation, service account hygiene, data classification controls, audit log settings.
Overly permissive ACLs. Unused admin accounts. No audit logging on sensitive tables. Missing field-level encryption for regulated data.
Integration Landscape
Active integrations, MID Server configuration, REST message logs, Transform Map accuracy, error handling mechanisms.
Integrations with no error alerting. Transform Maps with unchecked coalesce logic causing duplicate records. Unused integrations still consuming resources.
Data & CMDB Quality
CI population rates, relationship accuracy, discovery coverage, stale record volumes, CMDB health dashboard analysis.

Process & Workflow Alignment
Core ITSM/ITOM/GRC workflow configurations versus ITIL/platform best practices. SLA policy accuracy. Escalation and notification rule effectiveness.
SLAs pausing incorrectly. Notification storms overwhelming users. Workflows with no approval fallback logic causing stuck records.
User Adoption & Utilization
Portal usage data, self-service deflection rates, catalog request volumes, module-level license utilization.
Portals deployed but barely used. Catalog items with 0 requests in 12 months. Paid module licenses entirely unused.
How the Assessment Works
- Week 1: Scoping Call & Access Setup. We meet your platform administrator, agree the assessment scope, and set up read-only access to your development or production instance.
- Weeks 2–3: Technical Deep Dive. Our architect team conducts the technical review using a structured assessment framework. We do not rely on self-reported information from your team – we go directly into the instance.
- Week 4: Findings Review. We walk you through every finding with your technical lead and architect before producing the final report. You have the opportunity to provide context for decisions made in the past before we finalize our recommendations.
- Final Deliverable: Assessment Report & Improvement Roadmap. A prioritized, actionable document that covers: immediate quick-wins (zero-cost improvements), short-term technical debt items, medium-term upgrade preparation steps, and a recommended improvement roadmap phased by effort, complexity, and business value.
That uncertainty is itself a signal. Most platforms that have been running for more than 18 months without a formal review have at least one significant issue that is quietly degrading performance or creating future upgrade risk. A 30-minute scoping call will tell you whether a full assessment is warranted.
